I have since started a small experiment by putting one trap in the upper box of one hive and the other trap in the lower box of the second hive. The hive in this video, which is also the one with the most beetles, has the trap on top. I noticed a few beetles hiding in the groove of an open frame today when I pulled it. Perhaps I will move the trap lower down on top of the lower hive body.
